Akhil's 'Lenin' Picks Up Pace at Box Office

Akhil Akkineni appears to have found a winning formula with 'Lenin'. The rural action entertainer has witnessed impressive growth at the box office on its second day, boosting hopes of a strong opening weekend. After a decent start on Friday, the film registered a healthy jump on Saturday, driven by positive word of mouth and increased audience footfall.

According to box office tracker, Lenin earned an estimated ₹8.15 crore India net on Day 2, improving on its opening-day collection of ₹7.15 crore. With this, the film's two-day India net collection stands at ₹15.30 crore, while its worldwide gross has reached an impressive ₹23.40 crore. The film grossed ₹17.60 crore in India and added ₹2.50 crore from overseas markets within two days.

The Saturday jump was reflected in theatre occupancy as well. The film was screened in 2,099 shows on Day 2 compared to 2,028 shows on the opening day, with occupancy increasing from 50% to 57%. Trade circles are now closely watching Sunday's collections, which are expected to further strengthen the film's opening weekend numbers.
