Urmila Matondkar recently shared a light-hearted behind-the-scenes memory about working with Sanjay Dutt during her appearance on India’s Best Dancer Season 5.
She recalled that whenever a dance sequence came up in films, Sanjay Dutt would often be visibly reluctant and in a “bad mood,” repeatedly saying he didn’t want to do the steps or rehearse. However, she added that despite this resistance, he would quietly practice on his own and ultimately perform well on camera—surprising everyone with the final result. She described this as part of his personality, calling him the “original macho man” of the industry, but also someone who is easy and pleasant to work with.
