Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a high-powered task force led by Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani to prepare a roadmap for exam reforms. The panel will focus on making examinations more transparent, reliable and technology-driven, with its recommendations to guide measures aimed at restoring credibility in upcoming exams.
The move comes amid nationwide student protests over alleged paper leaks and irregularities, followed by Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation as Education Minister. The task force includes former ISRO chief S. Somnath, former IB Director Tapan Deka and other experts. Pralhad Joshi has taken additional charge of the Education Ministry.
