Police complaints have been filed against Bengali actress Sreelekha Mitra after an allegedly obscene image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi appeared on a poster she was seen holding during a protest against the NEET paper leak in Kolkata. BJP leader Keya Ghosh filed a complaint, while similar complaints were reportedly lodged in other districts.
Police said no FIR has been registered yet and that a decision will be taken after a preliminary inquiry. Mitra said she could not clearly see the poster as she was not wearing her glasses and denied deliberately holding it.
