Veteran actress Mandakini marked 41 years of Ram Teri Ganga Maili with an emotional note thanking fans for their enduring love and support. Sharing throwback pictures from the iconic 1985 film, she said the movie gave her much, but the affection of audiences remains her “most beautiful gift.”
Mandakini also announced a special Facebook Live session to celebrate the anniversary, promising to revisit memories and share stories from the film. Directed by Raj Kapoor, Ram Teri Ganga Maili starred Mandakini and Rajiv Kapoor, with music by Ravindra Jain.
Released on August 16, 1985, the romantic drama became the highest-grossing Indian film of that year and remains one of the notable Hindi films of the 1980s. It was also Raj Kapoor’s final directorial venture.
