Actress Madhoo has recalled how her cousin Hema Malini resumed her parliamentary duties just a day after daughter Esha Deol’s wedding. Speaking to IANS, Madhoo said the veteran actress’s ability to move forward despite emotional moments is one of the qualities she admires most.
Madhoo said it was difficult for any mother to see her daughter leave after marriage, yet Hema Malini returned to her routine without letting emotions hold her back. She also recalled an incident when valuables were stolen from Hema’s home, saying the actress simply filed a police complaint and continued with her travel plans.
According to Madhoo, Hema’s philosophy was to accept what happens in life and move on, a mindset she finds inspiring. Madhoo, Hema Malini’s first cousin, made her Bollywood debut with Phool Aur Kaante in 1991 and went on to star in films including Roja, Yoddha and Diljale.
