Allu Arjun's fans have a big reason to celebrate on April 8 as the makers of the upcoming Atlee directorial, tentatively titled AA26xA6, are planning a special reveal on the Telugu superstar's birthday.
The team is set to unveil the official title of the highly-anticipated project along with a teaser-style announcement video, offering audiences an early glimpse into the ambitious cinematic universe being crafted for the film. The announcement is expected to introduce Allu Arjun's character and set the tone for what is being described as a massive spectacle.
The untitled film, produced by Sun Pictures, is mounted on a staggering reported budget of around Rs. 800 crores, making it one of the most expensive and visually ambitious projects ever attempted in Indian cinema. It is said to move into high-concept territory, blending science fiction with commercial storytelling. Atlee is reportedly building a VFX-heavy parallel universe set in a post-apocalyptic world, with Allu Arjun expected to portray as many as four different roles spanning multiple generations of a family.
The film's casting has also generated considerable excitement, with Deepika Padukone reportedly cast as the leading lady, and Rashmika Mandanna expected to play a key role. Other actors like Janhvi Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, and Jim Sarbh may also appear in important parts. Currently being filmed in Mumbai, the production aims to wrap principal photography by September 2026, with a grand theatrical release targeted for 2027.
The planned birthday reveal could mark the first major step in unveiling what is being positioned as one of the biggest cinematic events in the making.
